      电子血压计是利用现代电子技术与血压间接测量原理研制出的一种方便可行的医疗设备，其原理为示波法间接测量血压，放气或充气的过程中，感知脉搏波信息，并通过一系列复杂的转换和计算得到收缩压和舒张压的数据。

       臂式血压计测量方法与传统水银血压计相近，测的是肱动脉，因其臂带放至上臂，其测量稳定性优于腕式血压计，更适合年纪较大、心率不齐、糖尿病引起末梢血管老化等患者使用，缺点是没有手腕式电子血压计方便。

       臂式血压计：能正确测量动脉血压，须脱去上衣进行测量，但机型大且携带不便，能使用稳压电源。上臂式血压计，测量更为准确，因为手臂离我们的心脏要近，而且误差不会太大，但手腕就比手臂要差一点。所以，腕式的电子血压计不适用于患有血液循环障碍的病人。建议糖尿病、高血脂、高血压等疾病患者和老年人选择臂式电子血压计。
